Chapter Officers

   We will elect Officers less frequently than before, and on an asynchronous basis to reflect the Officer's availability for active involvement with the Chapter.Where appropriate, interested members may be appointed to duplicate Officer titles to allow their enthusiastic participation in their chosen specialty. Core Officers will be in place as required by law.

    Officers will take an active part in the conduct of Chapter business and furthering our Fraternal, Educational and Community Service goals. The first election will be in December 2009 for a term to be decided during our reorganization. Under the new order, all Officers will work as a team with full transparency to the membership. We will honor our previous members by continuing to bring a high caliber of programs and community involvement, and working closely with the national headquarters of AFIO for guidance.

President  —  Leads the team of officers and represents the Chapter in all activities

VP Events  —  Directs technical support and logistics for events and meetings

VP Media  —  Coordinates media involvement and multimedia publications

VP Programs  —  Manages the program content and speakers at our meetings

VP Records  —   The Chapter Secretary who maintains all written records and minutes

VP Finance  —  The Chapter Treasurer who manages, receives and dispenses approved funds

VP Legal  —   The Chapter Attorney who advises on legal matters and community involvement

VP Security  —  A currently chartered and full time active Law Enforcement Officer in Houston
